Had fish and chips at Captain George's yesterday for Good Friday and have to say it was outstanding fish was really good and not greasy and portions were huge my one plate feed two!!! I'll definatly try this fish and chips restaurant again and would really recommend to others as well!! thank you Steve Brown

We met friends here last week for dinner. The staff were very friendly. The food served was excellent. The fish,chips and salad are very fresh. The fish portion is bigger than before. Clean and smell sweet.

Great food and service. We haven’t been to a store in over 2 weeks because of Covid-19 and decided to get takeout Fish & Chips tonite. I order over the phone and was told to arrive at 5:35. They only allowed one person in the Restaurant at a time. My food was hot, fresh and plentiful.

I can't see how anyone who visits this jewel, hidden in the corner of the plaza, would find any fault at all. I stumbled upon Dennis' little oasis about 5 years ago and it has become a weekly ritual. Jerk chicken is to die for. Ox tail is the best I have ever had for sure and the rice and peas stand up to any carribean resaurant in the GTA for sure. I have moved to Calgary and put my family as 1A and the Jerk Pit as 1B as things I miss the most. No Caribbean restaurant out here even compares.

Excellent food and service. Went with my husband and the kids. ordered doubles, chicken roti and a jerk chicken dinner. The food tasted great and the waitress was friendly. The atmosphere reminded me of being back in the caribbean... everyone just laid back, casual and inviting. Would recommend to anyone looking for that caribbean, back home feeling.

I loved everything about this restaurant! From the valet service at the door, the discreet but highly efficient service, the fresh and delicious seafood and wonderfully light Molotov dessert, and the extensive list of Portuguese wines. The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. Nothing dull here. Yes, this has got to be the best Portuguese restaurant in Toronto! Would definitely recommend for special occasions or romantic dinners.

My husband and daughter love the burgers and fish and I love their fish and Greek salad ? haven’t had their burgers but I have no doubt they are amazing! One of my favourite things is to go down to St Lawrence on a Saturday with a friend who is peameal or eggplant obsessed (you know who you are!) and convince them that "this week, we go to Churrasco St Lawrence, and next week we'll get yours". We never go for their sandwich, because they are always instant converts.
All take-away, you can't miss with their huge Chicken Sandwich, what appears to be most of a chicken completely infused with the fantastic sauce with lettuce and tomato. With or without mayo.
The sandwich is enough to give you a big grin and a full belly, but I usually find room for a custard tart, something akin to a creme brulee taste in a buttery yet flaky, almost phyllo-style shell. Yeah.
They do full rotisserie chickens and a range of other foods too, but to be honest in 4 years I've never gotten past the sandwich. I'm hooked.
If you've had a night on the town, a few bites into this mamma jamma and you'll be saying the same thing I am.

I eat here when I stay at The Avenue Motel on Dundas. Always freshly made and very hot, the owner is a lovely Russian? lady and very nice. She's always there on her own! The halibut and chips are better than other fish places I've tried and much cheaper. Thank you for your great service and lovely food! Don't buy bottled water here - it tastes like grease lol.

I have been frequenting the Scarborough location of this restaurant for a few years now, and was excited when they opened a Pickering location, as I work in Scarborough, but live in Whitby. Awesome roti...and a few of my friends from "the islands" agree whole heartedly! The most tender, juicy and tasty chicken roti, you won't be dissappointed! This is Port Credit's best kept secret. At one time, another business, now closed, was considered the place to eat F & C. I always thought there was a better place. HERE IT IS! My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. The food was fast to arrive, fresh, and tasted delicious the light the entire dish, I highly recommend eating here on any visit to tobermory, and I hope you get the same server as us his name was James :)
